Our Programs

Building Safer Spaces

WorQshop offers training sessions and consultations to create safer and inclusive health and social services and workplaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. We envision a world in which our community has equitable access to services and opportunities in order to lead thriving lives. We believe we can achieve this goal by offering fun, adaptable and informative training to expand the number of services practicing inclusion and ally-ship!

Our training is developed and facilitated by a multidisciplinary team of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members. WorQshop facilitators offer inclusive, community-based, collaborative and accountable trainings that utilize a trauma-informed and intersectional approach to explain basic Queer theory, Canadian and localized history, contextualized statistics and best practices for inclusion and ally-ship. WorQshops are designed to be interactive, encouraging dialogue and questions. All of our virtual trainings are hosted by live, trained facilitators.

Virtual Training Series

We are currently offering our three-part virtual training series.

Each session will include discussion points about inclusion and diversity in everyday life, and will finish with a question and answer period.

Each WorQshop is between 2-3 hours depending on the size of the group and the amount of discussion.

In-Person Trainings

We are offering in-person training with options for half-day, full-day, or multi-day training sessions.

Please reach out if you are interested in booking an in-person training for your organization.

Consultation Services

The WorQshop team offers consultation services related to programming, inclusive language, and inclusive organizational policies. Our services are highly adaptable and flexible to the needs of your organization.
