In-Person Training
In-Person Training Sessions
Sit back, relax and let us come to you! In-person training allows participants to be actively engaged in knowledge-sharing in ways that are unique to in-person services. WorQshop’s in-person training encourages participants to critically reflect on the material through activities, group discussion and question and answer periods. Hashing out concepts and getting lost in critical group discussions on a face-to-face basis makes for invaluable learning that will ultimately benefit your workplace and the 2SLGBTQIA+ people you work with and for. All participants will leave the training with a thorough understanding of the need to adopt a trauma informed approach when working with 2SLGBTQIA+ people. We look forward to seeing you!
WorQshop Three Hour Training
The half-day training provides an introduction to 2SLGBTQIA+ topics like sexuality and gender terminology. This is a viable option for organizations looking to begin their education on 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and diversify their program offerings.
WorQshop One Day Training
The full day in-person training covers all of the topics of the virtual 101, 102, and 103. In-person training provides a more personal training atmosphere and opportunities for engagement.

The WorQshop sessions were excellent. The facilitators worked closely with me to tailor the sessions to meet the learning needs of a range of people at the University. The training went beyond my expectations. The facilitators were gifted in provoking deeper reflections and creating a deeper awareness, by generously sharing their own lived experiences. They provided very useful and thoughtful strategies to get my students to examine their own lenses and biases and to unpack those in a thoughtful and productive manner. Their gentle compassion helped the audience feel safe and engage in difficult conversations. They tailored situational case discussions to help us navigate the situations we face at the University and provided excellent resources for personal reflection and growth. They motivated every single person in the audience to actively engage. The feedback from my group was overwhelmingly positive, with participants indicating that they learned something new and had a better understanding of how their interactions with the gender diverse clients that we serve have an impact and are in need of examination. This was the single most useful training session I have attended, and I would recommend WorQshop without reservation.
TazWestern University, Gender Affirming Voice Clinic
We are a private multidisciplinary clinic offering pelvic health physiotherapy, and we recently expanded our services to better support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I wanted my staff to take this course to ensure we were providing the most inclusive space possible.
We learned about the trauma the 2SLGBTQIA+ community has experienced and the barriers they continue to face. We also identified areas where we as a business could improve, strategies we can implement, and gained a deeper understanding of why inclusivity matters. This workshop helped us view our work through a trauma-informed lens and recognize that being inclusive is more than how we treat people inside the clinic—it’s also about how we open our doors and represent ourselves before clients even arrive.
For example, our website, social media, intake forms, and the language we use are all ways to build trust before a client walks through the door. That trust is essential for strong therapist–client relationships, treatment compliance, and ultimately, better patient outcomes.
This workshop was invaluable, and we believe every business should experience it. Thank you for equipping us with the tools and perspective to create a truly inclusive space.
